The Floating Hospital Website

THE FLOATING HOSPITAL was one of the first healthcare charities in NYC, dedicated to caring for the sick children of families living in tenement homes.

The Floating Hospital provides exceptional, compassionate healthcare to families in need. We provide care regardless of insurance status, immigration status, or ability to pay. We care for our patients as individuals with unique needs and goals. We offer education to help them self-care, now and for the long term. Our commitment is the same as it was more than 150 years ago: unrestricted healthcare to all who walk through our door.

The client reached out to us for several reasons. TFH wanted to implement some new changes and features to their website, as well as adding to their cause marketing efforts, but all possibility of proceeding to implement their organizational goals was being impeded by the fact that someone had hacked, defaced, and corrupted their current website. Their website was the contact point for TFH and the persons in New York City who relied upon their vital daily services. We moved quickly to address all of their expressed needs and goals, more specifically:

  • Assess and immediately resolve all issues with the current website
  • Consult on best practices, advise, and provide options and long term security solutions
  • Server and site security best practices

  • New page templates with custom integration features within their CMS
  • Modifications to the referral registration and submission system

Once the initial discovery, discussions, and consultations had been completed with their team, the client was confident they had enough information and insights to proceed. A project plan was generated including the scope of work, delivery phases, timelines, estimated costs, etc.
